Recently (April 2012), I bought two old Japanese school manuals in a small second hand book shop near my house: each costed 100 yen (!). I scaned them and upload them here.
One is a kanbun manual for the first year of secondary school published in Taishô 6 (1917). The other is a shûshin ("good behavior"?) manual for a lower class (I cannot determine the exact year) of primary school, published in Meiji 34 (1901). -- Please note that unfortunately, some pages are missing...
Just have a look at them, and you will find how they are fascinating...!
You can download them by right-clicking (or controle-clicking) on the links.
Have fun!
